For ANY InDesign Automations, please contact me
here. Below are some links to some videos showing the automations
in place.
From very basic image placing, resizing page elements, to building complete formatted
documents from a database, or spreadsheet. Other examples I have created are completly formatted auction
catalogues (for Bonhams amonst others), complete personalised novels created from an online data source, shelf
tickets, automatic table resizing/formatting, numerous mailers formatted automatically etc
This job required me to create a script that would go through the catalogue,
by selection, page, complete document, and extract the text for each product, and place it in a
spreadsheet with the text in the correct columns. eg, Sku number, Name, Description...
This was a large project, where I worked with the Website developers to
create an extension that would get data from the DAM/Product Manager, and build the products live on the
page. All correctly formatted, images, and logos placed correctly.
This was another version of the above extension for use with a different
customer. The way these documents were put together was using a 'Tile/Document' technique, where the
tiles were created by the in-house designers, and re-purposed for ech product being placed.
This customer produces various mailers in various styles. The scripts I
created allowed the customer to chose between page styles in the fly, and completly format the pages,
placing multiple product images and logos with minimal finessing afterwards.
This is an oldie, but goodie. The customer needed a way to speed up their
ticket creation. Based on a prepared CSV file the script creates 100's of tickets, in varying formats,
and saves as a PDF file, with the option of saving the InDesign document also. As an extra, the pages can be
placed 2-up for printing purposes.
